Hunting knife, stag handles.

J . B . C. / D . O. C . neatly carved in reverse handle.
X X crudely carved in obverse handle.
Overall length of knife 11½ inches. Blade length 6½ inches (originally 7 inches). Blade has been sharpened down.
The knife dates circa 1880s-1890s.
Accompanied by a custom sheath evidently made to fit, circa 1940s-1950s,
(note pouch on flat back construction, brown plastic covered snap button).
