Vietnam S.O.G. type knife (5th Special Forces type)

6-inch double-edged clip blade, blued. ~10-3/4 inches long overall.

Rounded brass guard with pointed quillons. Brass pommel with brass barrel nut on tang, end of tang peened over.

Brown stacked leather handle with finger grooves. Thin white spacer at each end.

Black leather scabbard. One top rivet lost, replaced with wire. White stone in stone pocket.

The present owner inherited this knife from his late father, who acquired it in Vietnam in 1969 - he traded a case of beer for it.
